Unifore, the Dutch Real Estate Investment Management and Asset Management Company has attracted Jan-Jaap Meindersma as partner to expand Unifore’s Real Estate Finance activities. Jan-Jaap Meindersma has a background in banking (Rabobank and prior to that NIBC) where his most recent position was Head of Structured Debt Capital Markets. Jan-Jaap also held various senior postions in real estate capital markets and in investment management.
Unifore is a real estate investment management and asset management company with two main activities:
- Unifore invests on behalf of -and alongside- third party investors in office and retail opportunities in the Netherlands. Via its partnerships with i.a. Marathon and HIG-Bayside Unifore has invested more than EUR 450 million in Dutch commercial real estate.
- Through its real estate finance platform Unifore serves as a gateway for real estate debt providers in the Dutch commercial real estate market. In this latter capacity the company has longstanding relationships with non-Dutch lenders and has recently signed an agreement with Morgan Stanley.
“The addition of Jan-Jaap to the Unifore team will greatly contribute to the expansion of our real estate finance activities’’, according to Maarten Arnoldy, partner of Unifore. “With the demise of some of the traditional Dutch Real Estate Lenders such as SNS Property Finance and FGH Bank, we see a growing demand from clients for alternative sources of finance. Simulteanously we observe that non-Dutch lenders without local knowledge and network are keen to engage us to provide access to that market.”
